A developmentally appropriate programme for two and three year olds, in a loving, supportive, rich and creative setting.
A gentle start
Our pre-school welcomes children from as young as two, in two groups: our Twos (2 to 3 years) and our Threes (3 to 4 years). While Immaculate is a girls' school, our pre-school opens its doors to boys and girls alike.
Each class is guided by one lead teacher and two assistant teachers, our "Aunties", who bring warmth and steady care to every day.

Learning through play
Play is at the heart of our pre-school programme. Through hands-on, STEAM-inspired activities (a little science, a little art, a little maths and technology, all wrapped in play), children build the critical thinking skills that will serve them for years to come, while doing what they naturally love: exploring, creating and discovering.
We give them open-ended materials and the freedom to build and create in their own way, encouraging them to enjoy the process of making art and experimenting with new materials, not just the finished product.
Kindness and belonging
Daily stories and warm, caring interactions with our teachers help children find the words for their needs and feelings. They learn to relate to one another gently and respectfully, living out the kindness at the heart of who we are at Immaculate Conception Preparatory School.
Though our pre-school has its own rhythm, it's never far from the rest of the school family. Our little ones join the wider community whenever they can, including Friday morning prayers with everyone else.
Where learning begins
Ready for kindergarten
Alongside academics, children learn to self-regulate, practise simple mindfulness techniques and find healthy ways to cope when things feel stressful. These are skills that stay with them well beyond our classrooms.
By the time they graduate, our students carry real confidence, strong friendships and the readiness to move smoothly into kindergarten, where they consistently thrive.
